1. Information We Collect

We collect only the minimum data necessary to provide a smooth, reliable deal discovery experience:

• Anonymous Device & Usage Data: Browser type, operating system, approximate region, and deal interaction metrics (e.g., clicks on affiliate links, deals viewed) collected anonymously to rank trending deals.
• Optional Account Details: If you sign in using Google Auth or email (powered by Supabase Auth), we store your email address and display name solely to synchronize your Wishlist and personal savings tracker across devices.
• Push Notification Tokens: If you explicitly grant notification permissions, a random Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token is stored to deliver price-drop alerts and curated daily deals. You can revoke this anytime in your browser or device settings.
• Search & Link Submissions: When you paste a product URL to verify a deal or check a discount, the link is processed by our backend engine to resolve product metadata and pricing. We do not link pasted URLs to your personal identity.

2. How We Use Information

The information collected is used exclusively for:

• Serving real-time deals, calculating Mitra Trust Scores, and tracking expired offers.
• Syncing your saved items and personalized categories.
• Preventing automated bot abuse, scraping, and service disruptions.
• Measuring aggregated performance of affiliate partnerships with retail networks.

3. Cookies & Local Storage

LootMitra uses browser LocalStorage and necessary functional cookies to:

• Remember which stories you have already viewed so they don't repeat.
• Store your Wishlist and offline deals cache for Progressive Web App (PWA) operation.
• Maintain your guest session and UI theme preferences.

We do not use intrusive third-party cross-site advertising trackers.

4. Third-Party Services & External Links

LootMitra contains outgoing links to external retail marketplaces (such as Amazon India, Flipkart, Myntra, boAt, Croma, Ajio, and others). When you click an outgoing deal link:

• You leave LootMitra and enter the third-party merchant's website or app.
• Your browsing activity, checkout process, and personal data on those merchant sites are governed entirely by their respective privacy policies.
• We utilize accredited affiliate aggregators (e.g., Cuelinks, EarnKaro, Amazon Associates) to monetize qualifying purchases at zero added cost to you.

5. Data Retention & Deletion Rights

You have full control over your data. You may at any time:

• Clear your browser cache and LocalStorage to wipe local history and saved items.
• Unsubscribe from notifications instantly via browser site settings or app notification controls.
• Request complete deletion of your synced cloud account and associated records by emailing us at [email protected] or [email protected]. All user records will be permanently purged within 30 days.

6. Children's Privacy

LootMitra is intended for general audiences aged 13 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.

7. Updates to This Policy

Mistcast may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect evolving regulatory requirements or platform improvements. Changes will be posted directly to this page with an updated revision date.
